Released?

ProWrestling.net is reporting that TNA has released former X Division Champion Jay Lethal.

They are noting that no formal announcement has been made regarding Jay's TNA future, but that his profile has been taken down from the TNA roster page.

It's unfortunate; Jay is a very talented wrestler, who I have no doubt will be an asset to any other company that is not TNA, who seems to be hinting at a 14 year later match between Sting and Hulk Hogan. This company has gotten so ridiculous that it almost seems like a blessing when one of the young guys gets freed to go somewhere where they will be appreciated.

Having said that, it's still a shame to see somebody lose their job. Fingers crossed that WWE or ROH will sign him.

Finlay Fired?

ProWrestling.net is reporting that WWE Superstar and road agent Fit Finlay has been fired, citing its source as PWInsider.Com.

Apparently, at a house show this past weekend, The Miz was supposed to come out and interrupt the national anthem to set up a match between himself and Randy Orton. Unfortunately, members of the National Guard -- one of WWE's biggest sponsors -- was in the crowd and apparently were not too happy about the national anthem being used for heel heat.

Finlay was one of the top producers backstage and was considered to be one of the biggest advocates and assistants for the Divas in the last decade. This is a horrible blow to the Divas, who have been struggling to find legitimate footing since the girls from 2000-2006 all retired or went elsewhere.

I should note that this is an unfortunate incident, and unless there is more to the story, then I can't see why they wouldn't rehire him sometime down the line, much like they did for Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately, I still think what Michael Cole did was a bit worse, and we still have yet to hear of discipline for him.

Kiyoshi Gone?

Wow, it's been something of a crazy few days for TNA Wrestling hasn't it?

First, it is being speculated that Jeff Hardy was under the influence of an unknown substance, calling for his match with Sting at Victory Road to last all of 88 seconds.

Then, Daffney announces that her contract with TNA has not been renewed, it expired today, and she has the feeling that her release has to do with the fact that she filed a Worker's Comp complaint against TNA over injuries she sustained while with the company.

Then, TNA took down anything of Miss Tessmacher's, real name Brooke Adams. In all fairness, Miss Tessmacher never was put up on the roster page, though her photo gallery was found under the Knockouts section of TNAWrestling.com. It is now gone.

Now, comes more news that TNA has taken down it's profile of TNA Superstar Kiyoshi, indicating that TNA and the Superstar have parted ways. Much like Daffney, Kiyoshi has not been used on TNA television in recent months.

Gone?

PWInsider.com is reporting that both the profiles of Daffney and Miss Tessmacher have been removed from TNA's official website, TNAWrestling.com.

Daffney came in as "The Governor" during their horrible Sarah Palin infatuation phase before she eventually turned back into the zombie-goth Knockout we all know from the WCW days. Daffney has not been used in recent months, so I don't think that this is really much of a surprise.

Miss Tessmacher, as I reported yesterday, has been out since Christmas, when she claims she had her jaw broken by a friend in a bit of an accident. No other details are known about that, though she has not been seen on TNA programming since, so I can't say that I'm all that surprised.

Also, the identity of the "fan" who came in and interrupted the Matt Morgan-Hernandez match is apparently former Ohio Valley Wrestling champion "Low Rider" Matt Barella.
