Chyna In TNA!

It appears TNA has dropped their idea of using Isis The Amazon as Kurt Angle's "partner" in favor of a much bigger name from WWF's 1990s heyday.

Spoilers are reporting that former WWF Diva Joanie Laurer, who competed under and later changed her name to Chyna, appeared at the show last night as Kurt Angle's partner. It appears she will be getting involved in the feud between Kurt, his ex-wife Karen and her new husband, Jeff Jarrett, who faced Chyna -- and lost the Intercontinental Championship to her -- in his last WWF match.

I'm pretty floored by this development, if for nothing else that I was under the impression that she was done with professional wrestling. I hope she has worked out her demons and gotten herself into a better place. She inspired so many and the path she has been on since she left WWE has been outright heartbreaking.

RIP

Former WWF Manager John "Oliver Humperdink" Sutton has passed away at 62, ProWrestling.Net is reporting. He had been battling cancer and had refused chemotherapy.

Sutton has managed such Superstars as Bam Bam Bigelow, Paul Orndorff, One Man Gang, Bruiser Brody, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Dick Slater, Sid Vicious, and others.

The last few months of his life have been covered at length by various wrestling sites. His contributions to the pro wrestling industry will never be forgotten.

My sincere condolences go out to Sutton's family in these trying times.

Test

Today is a sad day for those who knew and loved Andrew Martin, known as "Test" in the World Wrestling Entertainment, who was found dead in his apartment two years ago today at the unbelievably young age of 33.

For those unfamiliar with Test, he debuted in the WWE (then the World Wrestling Federation) in 1999, as an enforcer in the Vince McMahon's Corporation stable. He would spend his summer feuding with Shane McMahon, having the infamous "Love Her or Leave Her" match at SummerSlam 1999 for the right to be with Shane's sister Stephanie McMahon.

Unfortunately, in true WWE-F fashion, the wedding did not go through as planned, as Triple H had dragged Stephanie McMahon to a drive-through chapel in Las Vegas and married her. From there on, he worked on the mid-card, feuding with wrestlers such as Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash, Bobby Lashley and was even in contention for the WWECW Championship. He would be managed by ex-girlfriend and former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler for a period in 2002-2003. After her departure from the WWE, and their split, Andrew would go on to date WWE Diva Kelly Kelly. They split shortly before his death, but it still affects her greatly.

Today, my thoughts and my condolences go out to the family of Andrew Test Martin, another life gone way too soon in the pro wrestling industry.

Who Is Going To Induct Sunny?

Though it was speculated for a few weeks before it was officially announced, WWE confirmed that one of the original WWE Divas, Sunny (real name Tammy Lynn Sytch), will be seeing her day in the WWE Hall of Fame, beside such other great female names as The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young and "Sensational" Sherri Martel.

Interesting note: Tammy Lynn will be going into the same Hall of Fame class as "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, whom she claimed to have had a nine month relationship with back in the 90s before he met his wife.

Tammy Lynn has been vocal about the idea of having a Diva induct her into the Hall of Fame. Several months ago, she spoke of seven-time WWE Women's Champion and probably one of the greatest female wrestlers to ever step foot in a ring, Canadian-born Trish Stratus, to induct her into the Hall of Fame.

On her Facebook account, just after it was announced that she would go into the Hall of Fame on Raw, Tammy Lynn wrote,

"Thank you to everyone for the congratulatory messages...it means the world to me.
I couldn't be happier or prouder to have such an amazing opportunity.
Thanks to the WWE for thinking that highly of me. And to my Facebook family,
sorry I had to lie to you the whole time, lololol"

Sytch has since revealed that she knew about the induction honor since January 10, and had even gone so far as to tell people she had plans during that weekend that had nothing to do with WWE.

Though there has been no word on who will induct her, as she seems to go back and forth; Tammy Lynn has also expressed interest in the idea of having all the Divas induct her, so they could pay tribute to her. Her words; I didn't write them.
