Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net is reporting some more information regarding last night's Sting-Jeff Hardy debacle at Victory Road.
According to Powell, when Bischoff went to the ring prior to the match, he called an audible. Fans speculated and found it odd that Bischoff would put the microphone behind his back and talk to both Sting and Jeff, but he was pretty much just relaying the new match plans to both men. I have the strangest feeling that Sting knew something was going to happen, however, as the anguish and disdain in his eyes were very, very visible.
The word is in TNA circles it that Hardy needed assistance being taken from outside the building to the Gorilla Position for the match, which could explain why it took Jeff so long to reach the stage and make his entrance, which he stumbled through, practically falling up the steps and reaching at his shirt and mugging oddly for the camera.
According to Powell, once management saw how bad off Hardy was just on the entrance stage, they realized that an audible needed to be called.
As reported this morning, Jeff Hardy was sent home from tonight and tomorrow's Impact tapings. There is no word on when he will be slated to return, but be sure to know that he will not be on TV for at least two weeks.
