Music Video Madness!

Billy Corgan -- as in the lead singer of the 90s alternative band the Smashing Pumpkins -- has announced that several professional wrestling personalities will appear in their latest music video.

Shelly Martinez (pictured), formerly known as Ariel in WWE and Salinas in TNA, will be featured in the music video, alongside Melissa Anderson, who is known as Raisha Saeed, Cheerleader Melissa and Alissa Flash. The director of the video announced via Twitter that one of the female talents from GLOW will also be appearing in the video.

This isn't the first time a female wrestler has been featured in a music video in the mainstream. In 2007, rap superstar Timbaland included Brooke Adams (Miss Tessmacher), Layla and Kelly Kelly, Maryse, Torrie Wilson and Ashley Massaro in his video for Throw It On Me, featuring the Hives.

It's no secret that Billy Corgan is an enormous long-time wrestling fan. I am curious as to how the video is going to be.

Kharma!

After weeks of speculation, WWE has confirmed that former TNA Knockout Awesome Kong, real name Kia Stevens, will indeed be named Kharma.

Tonight's vignette of her on Raw saw her snap the head off of a blonde Bratz doll, before laughing hysterically. The camera then panned up to her face, before fading out to "Harm". Harm then became Kharma.

I would like to be the first to say great video production and what a great way to bring her in. I'm glad WWE has taken their time with this and not rushed it.

Speculation going around today is that she will at first be involved in a program with WWE Diva Beth Phoenix, which is a prospect I've been salivating over ever since Kong announced she had signed with WWE.

I would also like to congratulate Awesome Kong for breaking the mold of the typical cookie cutter Diva and looking like a real woman. Congratulations on achieving your dream.

New TNA Knockout?

According to the Twitter account of Mickie James, former WWE Diva Serena Deeb has received a tryout match with TNA.

Serena debuted in WWE for a short period of time, having her head shaved and becoming part of the Straight Edge Society with Luke Gallows and CM Punk. Rumor has it that her release came with her not adhering to the character principles outside of the ring.

This could be a huge coup for TNA, who is apparently getting ready to give itself a massive overhaul. It's Knockouts Division is in dire need of fresh blood.

Set To Return

WrestleZone.com is reporting that TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James is set to return to the ring at the next set of Impact tapings in the next two weeks.

Mickie has been out injured since a house show dark match against Madison Rayne in January. It is believed she suffered a separated shoulder.

Mickie competed in a thirty second squash match at Lockdown this past weekend, defeating Madison Rayne to capture the TNA Knockouts championship. This makes her the first woman in pro wrestling to hold every major women's championship.

Storyline wise, TNA covered up the injury by stating that Mickie was attacked by Madison and Tara, who apparently ran Mickie over with her motorcycle, injuring her and leaving her fate for Lockdown unknown.

Mickie James Injured?

ProWrestling.net is reporting that TNA Hardcore Country Knockout Mickie James has been injured.

It has yet to be acknowledged by Mickie James, but apparently the injury happened at Friday's TNA House show. Her current rival, Madison Rayne, apparently botched a spot in the ring, leading to Mickie suffering a slight separation in her shoulder.

There is no word on whether she will require surgery or not, but apparently the injury is enough that her arm is currently in a sling.

Tough break for the Knockouts division, which seems to be getting weaker and weaker with the volume that leave or the volume that are not put into the title picture. Either way, this has definitely been a bumpy week for TNA on all fronts.

Angelina Whines Copycat

We have a bit of a wrestling-style Jersey Shore feud on our hands here in the form of short-term TNA Knockout Angelina Pivernack and Raw guest host/WrestleManie competitor Snooki.

Angelina (pictured in pink) is claiming that Snooki (pictured in red) is copying her by getting into a wrestling ring. She has outright accused Snooki of trying to copy everything that she does.

It should be interesting to note that JWoww is actually the first Jersey Shore cast member to show up in a wrestling ring, so I could only imagine what her feelings are on Miss Angelina's comments. Also, I have to admit, having a match at WrestleMania is a huge opportunity for Snooki and would attract more buyers. Snooki doesn't seem totally stupid; I'm sure she knows the opportunities that come with it. Angelina's segment on her last appearance of Impact happened to be the lowest rated segment on the show.

This is pretty useless news, but then again, it's a slow news day.

Tessmacher Not Gone?

Hot on the heels of reports from the last couple days that TNA Knockout Miss Tessmacher, real name Brooke Adams, has been released by TNA Wrestling, comes word that this may not be the case at all.

For those who don't recognize Miss Tessmacher, she was with the WWE for a short period as a member of WWECW's Extreme Expose, with Kelly Kelly and Layla El. She was released from the WWE and made her way to TNA last year as Eric Bischoff's assistant Miss Tessmacher.

Miss Tessmacher hasn't been seen since the holidays, when she claims that a friend broke her jaw, sending her to the emergency room for nine hours. Prior to that, she had been a bit of an integral player to the "They" storyline, having incurred the wrath of Eric Bischoff for outing information to several TNA Superstars. Bischoff then made her into a competing Knockout.

Despite reports that Miss Tessmacher has left TNA, it appears that TNA still wants to keep her around, having put her Knockouts gallery back up at TNAWrestling.com and even this time giving her a spot on the roster profile page. Interesting developments...maybe it means she'll be back soon.

Filing A Complaint!

Hot on the heels of the Jeff Hardy drama comes more problems from TNA in the form of zombie-goth Knockout Daffney, real name Shannon Spruill.

Daffney stated on her twitter account today (which you can follow at ScreamQueenDaff),

"My contract expires today and TNA did not
renew it. I do not know if it has anything
to do with it, but I've filed a Worker's Comp
complaint against them for injuries I've
sustained in the ring and my lawyers said not to go into anymore details."

TNA's treatment of the Knockouts Division has been absolutely appalling. Daffney has sustained multiple injuries in the ring since debuting with TNA, including practically having her sternum crushed by former TNA Knockout Rosie Lottalove. Daffney has not been used on TV in recent months.

Mickie Set For Music Festival

Former WWE Diva and TNA Hardcore Country Knockout Mickie James is set to perform at the CMA Country Music Festival, according to her official website, MickieJames.com.

Hot on the heels of the Maria Kanellis EP last year, Mickie released her debut country album, Strangers and Angels. She also currently performs her theme on TNA Impact.

Other acts slated to perform at this year's CMA Festival are Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Josh Turner, Easton Corbin, The JaneDear Girls, Ashton Shepherd, and Chris Young, who are all joining the list with fellow acts Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire (who I saw live when I was 10 -- she is great), Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban, alongside Grammy Award winners Lady Antebellum.

Obviously, this is a huge opportunity for Mickie James. Congratulations! The CMA Country Music Festival takes place from June 9-12. No camping is permitted according to musicfestivaljunkies.com, and it is $115 for a four-day pass. It takes place in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

What Are You Thinking!?

I don't know if this is a permanent thing, but this past Thursday, as part of TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne's open challenges, former TNA Knockout Roxxi made her return to take on Madison, being defeated by her yet again.

When Roxxi stepped into the Impact Zone, I just about spit water all over the place a la Triple H. "Roxxi, what are you thinking?" I shouted at the television set. I know money talks, but really?

Roxxi is a phenomenal talent. I've seen some of her work in Shimmer and I've seen what she's done for the Knockouts division in TNA. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Roxxi, who has come a long way since debuting as the Voodoo woman and the "Hardcore" Knockout. For crying out loud, this woman has had her head shaved! There is no doubting her loyalty to the company.

Unfortunately, TNA has not been very loyal to her. First, in 2009, Roxxi was released following a 60-day suspension that resulted from a backstage altercation with Kurt Angle's ex-girlfriend Rhaka Khan (real name Trenesha Biggers). Roxxi was classy enough to wish them well in their future endeavors and came out pretty well in the long run, going back to Shimmer.

Fast forward to last year, when she arrived at a pay-per-view to find out that her match against Madison Rayne had been changed into a retirement match, and she was being fired. Backstage reports said that she had spent the rest of the day in tears, as she had only returned a few weeks before in a bigger capacity. Wrestling fans everywhere were infuriated, including Jim Cornette, at what was a complete and utter show of disrespect to a woman who had bled, sweat, cried and had her head shaved for a company that was tossing her away like a disposable player.

Roxxi had made no appearance in TNA until Thursday night. Maybe this is a one night deal. Quite frankly, I'm surprised Roxxi even agreed to do it, considering how they've treated her. I could only imagine how upset she was to put all of her loyalty into this company just to be tossed aside at a moment's notice. Roxxi is currently working in Shimmer, which is a terrific female-based promotion. Anyone who has not checked out Shimmer, I recommend it. It has boasted and boasts such amazing talent as Beth Phoenix, Sara Del Ray and Shantelle Taylor, who was known in TNA as Taylor Wilde.

Update on Miss Tessmacher

So, a little bit of news in the TNA Knockouts department, regarding a Knockout who has been missing in action for some time now.

"The worst Christmas I ever had. Got hit by a friend in
the jaw...It's now broken in two places. Now in the ER
for the third time. It was so wonderful to spend
Christmas here in the ER for 9 hours. Some damage
may not be able to be fixed. Please keep me in your
prayers. Hope everyone else has had a wonderful Xmas!"

This was written on Miss Tessmacher's website, Brooke-Adams.com (Brooke being her real name and the name she competed under as a member of Extreme Expose in WWECW). She was last seen in TNA as Eric Bischoff's assistant who had outed the entire "They" angle to D'Angelo Dinero and Kevin Nash. At the time of her injury, she was just beginning to become an in-ring talent, having been eliminated in the TNA Knockouts tag tournament, her partner having been Mickie James.

PWRShow.com and a website or two more are reporting that Miss Tessmacher recently appeared at a bikini contest in Texas, appearing to be completely healed from the jaw injury she said she received over her holiday season. Perhaps now it is only a matter of time before she comes back to TNA.
